Adverb – Certainty Adverbs in Guesses and Reports
Fyll i rätt adverb i varje mening.
- Certainty adverbs tell us how sure the speaker is about something.
- Common ones: säkert (surely/certainly), troligen (probably), förmodligen (presumably), nog (I suppose/probably), kanske (maybe), antagligen (presumably), verkligen (really/truly).
- They usually sit in the middle field of the sentence – after the finite verb in main clauses.
- Collocation and context are your best clues: a firm deadline calls for säkert; a cautious guess calls for kanske or nog.
- Practice spotting where these adverbs land and which degree of certainty fits.
