Verb – Participles as Adjectives
Fyll i rätt participform av verbet inom parentes.
- In Swedish, participles (verb forms like stängd, trött, målad) can be used as adjectives to describe nouns.
- They must agree in gender and number with the noun they modify, just like other adjectives.
- Present participles (e.g. leende, springande) describe an ongoing state or action.
- Past participles (e.g. stängd/stängt/stängda) describe a completed state and must be inflected correctly.
- Context clues – such as nearby nouns, articles, and time expressions – will help you choose the right form.
